My first post
Jul. 27th, 2026 09:51 pmI died. Ascended. Reached God and he asked me. "So child, how was heaven? How was the land of your dreams?" I scoffed and laughed "wtf do you mean", that place wasn't heaven it didn't even deserve to be fully seen. There was so much hate and violence and so much awfully dreaded silence. "No no no" I said. "Believe me YOU must have it all wrong, that must've been hell down there all along". "Are you sure of that child", the bodiless voice replies. "Did you not see the flowers I grew for you, the birds whispering in the trees. Did you not notice the fish dancing through the seas."
"I did, I did" I energetically replied. "I truly saw it all, I promise I stopped to smell the flowers and sang songs within their warmth". "One question still remains though, I realise now that all this beauty was created to be seen, to be felt, to be embraced, to be fully considered for more than what it seems, but you see in the songs we write and the stories we sing we tell tales of a "heaven" with no pain to be foreseen. Why is it not such? The answer to this I beg of you God. Why cause suffering in that world if it's not meant to be flawed." He stared at me then. Eyes boring through my skull, as if transferring knowledge incomprehensible for normal men. Alas I did not get my answer , for the figure in front of me faded away. But from now I always remember to cherish every day. Perhaps this world is heaven. A little slice of paradise for you and me. I hope dear reader you now also see.
